The Norsemen Memorial "A" Tournament which was started in November 2008 is a new tournament dedicated to hockey players who played in the Montague Minor Hockey Association. This tournament is open to both female and male teams.
Female Divisions - Atom,
Peewee, Bantam and Midget
Male Divisions - Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget.
The objective of the Norsemen Memorial "A" Hockey Tournament is to provide quality competitive hockey at the "A" level.

On Tuesday November 29, 2005 Chelsey was on her way home from a student/teacher hockey game when she was involved in a fatal car accident. Chelsey lived in Gaspereaux with her parents David and Jeannie, her older sister Ashley and younger brother Kyle. Chelsey was an honour student and Dedicated athlete at Montague Regional High. Chelsey’s passion with her team mates. Some of her for sports kept her busy travelling many trips included Ontario and Edmonton with her Legion track team. She travelled to Regina with her Canada Games field hockey team. Ringette and hockey also took her travelling through the Maritimes to attend many tournaments which she truly enjoyed. Chelsey loved spending time with family and friends playing sports and just having fun. Her free spirit, beautiful smile, caring and giving ways made her By the abundance of friends she easy to be around. This was shown had. Chelsey you are loved and missed every day. |

JD MacIntyre‘s minor hockey career began at Iceland Arena in Montague. By Peewee JD had proven himself to be one of the best skaters for his age in the country. As a part of the Kings County Bantam team, JD had the opportunity to travel to Sweden and play teams from Finland and Sweden. JD played his Midget years with Chapman Brothers Midgets in Souris. After Midget JD went to Murray River to play Juvenile with the Kings and played Senior with the Bruins. In the late 90’s JD moved into coaching in the Montague Minor Hockey Association. JD and Robbie Brothers coached the Midget A’s. Later JD and Robbie coached Midget AA’s. JD coached Midget AA’s until his sudden passing on May 2, 2007. His death has left a void in the hockey community. JD was a competitive and fair coach. His team was his family and he treated them as such. JD You will be missed forever.
