period, the remainder of the game shall be straight time. |
| 7 |

prepared to play 30 minutes before scheduled game time. |
| 8 |
If a team is
not prepared to play or forfeits then the other team will be awarded
the game by a score of 7-0. |
| 9 |
Ice will be
flooded between the second and third period of each game. There will
not be a flood between games. Teams
will go on the ice as soon as the previous teams have left the ice. |
| 10 |

Advancing to
Semi-Final/Final Games: |
| |
| A |
In the Novice Boys Division, the
top two teams overall shall advance to the Final. Any ties shall be broken by
Rule (16). |
| B |
In the Atom and Bantam Boys Divisions, the top two teams in each group shall advance to the
Semi-Finals. Any ties shall be broken by Rule (16). |
| C |
In the PeeWee and Midget Boys Divisions, the top four teams overall shall
advance to the semi finals. |
| D |
In any division containing and odd number of teams in a pool, the host will be
required to play four divisional games and will be required to drop the points
in one of those games, predetermined by a random draw. |
|
| 16 |
If teams
are tied after divisional play, then ties will be broken in the
following order: |
| |
| A |
The team that
won the game between the two teams will take precedence.
If three or more teams are tied, then go to Rule B. |
| B |
If teams are
still tied, then the winner will be the team that has
the higher net difference between goals for and goals
against. (Total goals for less total goals against) |
| C |
If teams are
still tied, then the winner will be decided by dividing
a team’s total goals for by the sum of the team’s goals
for plus goals against. The highest resulting dividend will determine the
winner. |
| D |
If still tied,
the team to qualify would be the team which scored the
first goal in their first game of the tournament. |
| E |
If still tied
after all previous methods have been applied, the winner
will be decided by a single toss of a coin under the
supervision of a minimum of two committee members. |
|
| 17 |
A 5 minute
sudden death overtime period will be played if teams are tied at the
end of regulation time in Semi-Final and
Championship games. If teams are then still tied, an elimination period of stop
time will be played as follows: |
| |
| A |
Each team will
start with 5 players and a goalie. Player substitution
may occur on the “fly” only. There will be no
substitutions
during stoppage of play, unless a player is, in the referee’s opinion, too
injured to continue. If the referee allows
a substitution for one team he will also allow one for the other team. |
| B |
After every
one (1) minute of play, the referee will stop play and
each team will remove a player until teams are reduced
to
two skaters and a goalie. Play will then continue until one team scores. |
| C |
When play is
stopped to remove players, the ensuing faceoff shall
take place at the face-off circle nearest to where the
puck was when play was stopped. |
| D |
When a team is
down to two skaters and a goalie a penalty shot shall be
awarded in place of a minor penalty. In the
event of a major penalty at any time during the elimination period, a penalty
shot shall be awarded and the player ejected.
A substitution will be allowed for the ejected player and other team. |
|
|

coordinator. At this time each team will receive a
